A 20-year-old woman was discovered dead inside her room in the national capital’s Mayur Vihar neighborhood.
After getting a complaint from her relatives, police filed a FIR. According to the authorities, on August 26 around 6.20 a.m., a call was received at the Gazipur authorities Station’s police control room (PCR) claiming that the caller’s domestic assistance had been found dead.
The woman, identified as Neha, a resident of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh, was hanging from a ceiling fan with ‘Chunni’ in a room in Mayur Vihar, Phase 3, Delhi, when police arrived.
A crime squad was dispatched to the scene to collect evidence, and photographs were taken. There was no suicide note found, according to police, and the body was sent to LBS Hospital, where physicians certified her dead.
According to police officials, family relatives of the dead were notified and arrived late at night. Their comments were recorded, and family members were urged to return on August 27 for the postmortem, but they did not, therefore a Daily Diary (DD) entry was made.
