Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have unveiled the first photo of their baby daughter, revealing her beautiful name: Dua Padukone Singh. They wrote, “Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह ‘Dua’: meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer.”
The couple, known for their collaborations in films like ‘Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, and ’83’, welcomed their baby a day after Deepika was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai. They announced the joyous news through a joint post on Instagram, stating, “Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024.”
Many of their industry colleagues have extended their congratulations on social media. Alia Bhatt commented with a series of heart and celebratory emojis, while Arjun Kapoor expressed, “Laxmi aayi hai!!! The queen is here.” Ananya Panday added, “Baby girl! Congratulations.” Other celebrities, including Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Sharvari, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sanjay Kapoor, also wished the new parents.
On the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, the couple was seen offering prayers at the Siddhivinayak Temple. Deepika, 38, and Ranveer, 39, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, back in 2018. They announced Deepika’s pregnancy in February, with rumors swirling earlier this year when she was photographed covering her midsection at the 77th BAFTA Awards, where she was a presenter.
Looking ahead, Deepika and Ranveer are set to make a special appearance in ‘Singham Again’, directed by Rohit Shetty and headlined by Ajay Devgn, which released on Friday.
