South superstar Prabhas and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone are all set to collaborate for Ashwin Nag’s sci-fi film. Coming from two different corners of the country with their own set of massive fan base and incredible acting talent, the film is touted as one of the biggest films in the history of Indian cinema.
While Prabhas rose to unimaginable heights of popularity with the roaring success of the Baahubali series followed by pan-India action thriller Saaho opposite Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika has ruled Bollywood for over a decade now with films like Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani, Chennai Express and many more, which makes this pairing a guarantee for blockbuster success.
On Sunday, the makers of the film announced their collaboration with a special video and welcomed Deepika on-board. Directed by Ashwin Nag, the untitled film, which is currently referred to as Prabhas 21, is bankrolled by C. Ashwini Dutt, Swapna and Priyanka Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies.
Expressing his excitement on the film, the director said, “I’m very excited to see Deepika play this character. It is something no mainstream lead has done before and will be quite a surprise for everyone. The pairing of Deepika and Prabhas will be one of the main highlights of the film and the story between them, I believe, will be something audiences will carry in their hearts for years to come.”

Marking the Telugu debut of Deepika Padukone, the film is slated to go on floors next year. Until then, Prabhas will be shooting for his another upcoming film titled Radhe Shyam alongside Pooja Hegde, while Deepika will be completing the shooting of Shakun Batra’s next alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.
