Haryana experienced severe cold for the second consecutive night today, with Mahendragarh recording a minimum temperature of 5.7 degrees, the lowest in the state. Previously, on Sunday night, Balsamand in Hisar had a temperature of 5.6 degrees. Today, Hisar recorded 5.9 degrees, and Balsamand saw a slight increase to 6 degrees, a rise of 0.4 degrees.
IMD Chandigarh predicts that there is no possibility of major change in the minimum temperature in the state. Also, there are chances of light fog in the state. On the other hand, Dr. Madan Khichad, Chairman of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, says that due to a low impact western disturbance, there is a possibility of partly cloudy and dry weather in the state again from the night of 13th December.
In Haryana, the temperature in Narnaul has dropped by 1.5 degrees in 24 hours. The night temperature in Sirsa has increased by 2.1 degrees. Sirsa was the only place in the state where the night temperature remained at 10 degrees. Apart from this, except Bhiwani (9.3 degrees), the mercury in all the remaining districts was recorded at 8 degrees or below. However, the Meteorological Department says that the minimum temperature is close to normal. The minimum temperature has increased by 0.3 degrees in 24 hours.Hisar is a district where the night temperature is 2.2 degrees below normal. While the temperature of Hisar was 5.9 degrees last night, the temperature of Balsamand of Hisar was 6 degrees. Yesterday night in Balsamand was the coldest night of this season in the state with a temperature of 5.6 degrees. Today in Mahendragarh also it was around 5.7 degrees. This has been the lowest in the state. The minimum temperature in Karnal was -0.2 degrees below normal.
Like other districts, Sonipat is also facing cold. Last night the temperature here was recorded at 7.1 degrees. The mercury here has decreased by -0.6 degrees compared to last night. The gusts of cold wind are also increasing the cold here. However, the temperature of Sonipat is currently around normal.
