The National Commission for Women (NCW) On Thursday took the perception of the media reports with respect to the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chief Swati Maliwal being attacked and later hauled by a vehicle for 10-15 meters.

Director Rekha Sharma has kept in touch with the Magistrate of Police, Delhi to mediate regarding this situation and to guarantee that a severe move is made against the blamed individual and ensured that the report should be notified to the Commission in 2 days. Earlier, the Delhi Police said that it has captured one individual regarding an occurrence in which DCW chief Maliwal claimed that she was “attacked” and “hauled by a vehicle” for a few meters opposite AIIMS in the national capital in the early hours of the day.
The charge has been identified as 47-year-old Harish Chandra.
His vehicle was additionally seized by the Delhi Police.

DCP South Chandan Chowdhary expressed that as per Maliwal she was with her group outside the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) around here at around 2.45 am the point at which the captured charge distinguished as Harish Chandra, a resident of Sangam Vihar region, was drunk.

The DCW chief in her statement to police claimed that the one who was driving a white-shaded vehicle halted his vehicle close to where she was standing and “made revolting motions” at her.

“When she refused again and went near the driver’s side window to reprimand him the man rolled up the car’s glass window and her hand got stuck and she got dragged for about 10-15 meters,” the DCP Chowdhary said.

The police official said that a PCR call was gotten at around 3.12 am and a police group including ACP Hauz Khas arrived at the spot at around 3.20 am the blame was captured.
“The police took a written complaint from Maliwal and sent her and the accused for medical examination,” the DCP added.
Further examination concerning the matter is in progress. Maliwal’s cases come days following a 20-year-person recognized as Anjali died after supposedly being hauled in the Kanjhawala area of Delhi for a few kilometers.
