In a significant initiative, Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan announced that the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department is set to provide agricultural drone pilot training to two farmers in the district for the year 2023-24, completely free of charge. Aspiring participants can submit their applications online through the department’s portal, www.agriharyana.gov.in, with the deadline set for February 19.

To be eligible for the training program, applicants must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 45 years, possess a 10th-grade educational qualification, hold a valid passport, and be a member of CHC/FPO (Community Health Center/Farmer Producer Organization).

The selection process will involve the creation of a merit list through document verification, considering factors such as age, educational background, experience in CHC/FPO, and agricultural expertise. Selected candidates will undergo training without any associated fees.

Deputy Commissioner Sarwan emphasized that interested farmers seeking additional information can reach out to the office of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer in Panchkula. This initiative aims to empower farmers by equipping them with valuable skills in modern agricultural technologies.
