Q. When you look back at the year gone by, how was 2020 for you?

2020 has been a tough year for me and most of us I’m sure. The only best thing is that we all are safe and in good health including my family and my team so I’m happy about it. Also during the lockdown, it was really difficult because I have so many studios and their financial stress and a lot of other things were there. Eventually, I learnt from these things and felt this will pass too. Things will get better soon and then I started dancing and making videos. I’m hoping 2021 is going to be a blast for me.

Q. What was the lockdown learning for you?

You should be prepared for everything and anything in your life. This is what I learnt. It was the first time I was under so much stress and pressure as I had the responsibility of my staff and dancers. But never mind I learnt that you should be prepared for the worst things.

Q. What did you miss the most doing last year and why?

Things I missed in 2020 was, of course, travelling as my work itself is all about travelling to different cities for judging and shows. I and my team really missed it. I missed performing in front of the audiences.

Q. Professionally, how was 2020 for you?

Professionally, it was very tough for me since there was no work. I’m sure all of us have gone through this and if I talk about myself then yes professionally it was a tough year.

Q. What was the best moment for you in last year?

The best moment was when I started dancing and making dance videos. People are approaching me because of my dance.

Q. What do you believe will change for the entertainment industry going ahead?

Things are getting virtual even in terms of shows and live performances. In the last two months, we have done several virtual shows.

Q. How do you see the OTT boom in India? Do you believe the digital medium is here to stay and how will it change things for you?

I’m actually interested in acting as I have always been behind the camera working for my team as a choreographer. Recently, after conquering so many milestones in dancing I feel like doing something else apart from dancing. I’m trying to get in proper shape and prepare to be in front of the camera. I would love to be an actor. I’m excited about it and want to try acting for sure.

Q. What are your hopes for 2021?

There is a very big thing coming soon but I can’t reveal much. As there was a movie filmed on us similarly something else is also coming up under a big banner and I’m very excited about the same. It will start somewhere in 2021. I can’t reveal as of now what is it exactly but it is related to me and my team’s story.
