Flooding in Chennai and its surroundings is caused by heavy rain from Cyclone Fengal. Heavy rain has made life so hectic, but this granddad made it an enjoyable moment. Cyclone Fengal has brought southern state to a standstill with highways closed, flights delayed, and landslides reported. Pictures of flooded waters swallowing buses and other vehicles have surfaced, some of which were swept away by the forceful current. The highest rain was seen in Viluppuram with 51 cm, where widespread flooding has occurred. Here in Puducherry, 50,000 houses have been flooded, while in Thattanjavadi, more than hundred houses had water entering them with all belongings floating.
