Ravi told ANI, “Our only issue is to remove the Waqf Board. All rights given to the Waqf Board shall be revoked. We are agitating against the Waqf Board claiming temple land, farmers’ lands, cremation grounds, and properties of Dalits. We will raise this issue in Parliament as well.”

BY Vijayendra Criticizes Karnataka Government’s Decisions
Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra criticized the state government’s recent policies. He called the 20 percent hike in fees for hospitals and medical colleges “anti-poor” and urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to withdraw the decision. Vijayendra added, “BJP is not opposed to the cancellation of BPL cards.”
Protests Held Across Karnataka
The protests took place across the state, with BJP leaders like BC Patil, Arunkumar Pujar, and Virupakshappa Bellary participating. They gathered in front of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Tahsildar offices, rallying under the banner “Our Land, Our Right.”
Karnataka Government Issues Directive on Waqf Issue
In response to the protests, the Karnataka Government issued a directive on November 9. The Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department instructed officials to halt any changes to land records or eviction notices under the Waqf Act. The order also called for the withdrawal of notices to farmers and the suspension of ongoing land mutation work.
