The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) forces are playing a critical role in guaranteeing the safety of pilgrims participating in the Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar, officials said on Sunday.
According to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Srinagar North Range CRPF, the CRPF stationed along the Amarnath Yatra route in Srinagar was critical in guaranteeing the safety and assistance of pilgrims in Srinagar.
“The CRPF plays a crucial role in providing safe passage and assistance to the pilgrims of the Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar. The CRPF personnel are deployed along the Yatra route and in Srinagar to ensure the security and well-being of the pilgrims,” said the official.
According to the DIG, the CRPF regularly monitors for threats, maintains peace, and ensures pilgrims can travel without incident during the yatra.
“The CRPF conducts regular security checks, maintains law and order, and facilitates the smooth movement of pilgrims during the yatra,” he said.
According to the official, CRPF soldiers collaborate closely with local authorities, notably the Jammu and Kashmir Police, to establish a safe atmosphere for pilgrims and address any potential security risks.
In partnership with other authorities, the CRPF provides numerous aid services to pilgrims. He went on to say that these services include medical camps, transportation, communication networks, and emergency response teams.
