A crew member from the upcoming Marvel series ‘Wonder Man’ died in an accident on the production. The incident occurred Tuesday at Radford Studios, where a rigger fell from the rafters, according to The Hollywood Reporter, a US-based media outlet.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Simon Williams, a stuntman turned superhero, in ‘Wonder Man’.

The show was not filming on Tuesday, but the crew was working.
Marvel Studios issued a statement saying, “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health is currently conducting an investigation. IATSE, the union that represents behind-the-scenes workers, released its own statement following the crewmember’s death.

“Everyone in the IA family is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We are working to support our member’s family, and his fellow members and colleagues,” said President Matthew D. Loeb. “Safety on set is our highest priority and we will assist Cal/OSHA in their investigation in any way that we can.”

‘Wonder Man’ finished some filming before the SAG-AFTRA strike in July. It is unknown how much work left on the series, although one source indicated that the most of the shooting had been completed, with only a few pick-ups expected in the coming days or weeks.
The show’s behind-the-scenes talent includes Destin Daniel Creton from ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ and Andrew Guest from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Kingsley is among the Marvel stars returning to reprise his role as thespian Trevor Slattery.
