‘Cooked America’: JD Vance’s Bizarre Thanksgiving Post Fuels Online Debate

Ohio Senator and Vice President-elect JD Vance ignited a social media uproar this Thanksgiving with a bizarre meme. The post featured Vance superimposed as “Trump’s wife” in a reimagined version of Norman Rockwell’s iconic Freedom From Want painting. In the parody, Vance is depicted serving an electoral map in place of a turkey, symbolizing red counties that secured Trump’s 2024 return to the White House.

The image shows Vance, wearing a cooking apron, serving the “cooked America” map, while Trump, smiling in a black suit, stands behind him. The meme quickly drew sharp commentary, particularly from liberal circles, questioning Vance’s motives and its political undertones.

MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan quipped, “JD Vance posting an image of himself as Trump’s wife, along with a map that ignores their historically narrow victory margin.” Another user joked, “Is Vance the First Lady now? Is America baked like a turkey? Where’s Elon Musk? So many questions!”

Critics interpreted the 1950s-era domestic scene as a symbol of Vance’s loyalty to Trump. Others mocked the post for its peculiar symbolism and timing, given Trump’s own Thanksgiving celebrations at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump’s Festive Night with Elon Musk
While Vance’s meme trended online, President-elect Trump celebrated Thanksgiving in grand style at Mar-a-Lago, accompanied by his family and high-profile guests, including Elon Musk, Sylvester Stallone, and Bill Belichick. Trump took over DJ duties, entertaining the crowd with classics like “YMCA” and Elvis hits. Musk toasted the incoming first family, cementing his camaraderie with Trump.

Meanwhile, Vance reportedly spent a quieter evening with his wife, Usha Chilkuri, and their children, staying out of the Mar-a-Lago spotlight.
