Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij commented today on the Nyay Yatra initiated by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying, “Rahul Gandhi Ji, if he undertakes a Prayschit Yatra instead of a Nyay Yatra, will benefit more.”
Vij was responding to questions asked by the media person regarding Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra. He suggested that Rahul Gandhi should embark on a Praschit Yatra instead of a Nyay Yatra.
Taking a dig at the opposition, he said that Congress should atone for the injustices committed by them alongside the nation. Vij mentioned that Congress had divided the country on Hindu-Muslim lines, captured more than 90,000 Prisoners of War in the 1971 war and released them without any conditions. Additionally, during the Emergency, they imposed a state of emergency by trampling the constitution, detained over a lakh people under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA), without any evidence or appeal.
He stated that constitutionally, Congress has toppled several governments without any forethought. In 1984, they orchestrated the Sikh massacre, and he supported it with a statement. Vij emphasized that Congress should atone for these actions.
