In the Hain Taiyyar Hum rally in Nagpur, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge expressed concerns about the impact of the BJP and RSS coming to power again. He stated, “If the BJP and RSS came to power again, democracy will be finished.” Kharge highlighted the ideological divide in Nagpur, saying, “There are two ideologies in Nagpur, one is the progressive one which belongs to Ambedkar, and the other is that of the RSS which is destroying the country.”
Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kharge alleged, “PM Modi was against social justice and equality. Democracy is under threat. Inflation has skyrocketed, unemployment is also high.” He emphasized the need for change, stating, “Support INDIA alliance to save democracy and the country.”
Regarding the BJP government’s unfulfilled promises, Kharge pointed out, “The BJP government did not fulfill its promises of creating two crore jobs every year and giving Rs 15 lakh to each citizen.” He urged voters to support the INDIA alliance and criticized the BJP’s diversion, saying, “Now, leaving aside all important issues facing the country, the BJP will highlight God.”
Rahul Gandhi, speaking at the same rally, addressed the looming Lok Sabha polls as a battle of ideologies. He shared an interaction with a former Congress leader, now a BJP MP, who told him that “ghulami (enslavement) works in the BJP.” Rahul Gandhi asserted the importance of empowering the country’s people and lamented the misuse of power and lack of representation of OBCs.
Nana Patole, Maharashtra Congress state president, stated that the rally aims to end the tyranny of BJP, emphasizing that PM Narendra Modi is afraid of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. He described “Hai Tayyar Hum” as the slogan to drive away the “Modi-led dictatorship.”
In a call to action, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged Congress functionaries to work for the party for the next 100 days to form a government at the Centre. He took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Every medicine has an expiry date. Similarly, Narendra Modi’s medicine will not work in the country anymore.” Reddy emphasized the need for change and referred to the ruling BJP’s “double engine government” as “Adani-Pradani.”
