Ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections, leaders from both the BJP and Congress are engaging with party workers, seeking feedback and conducting assessments in many assembly constituencies. Yesterday, in this series, Congress leaders Panchayati Raj Minister Ramesh Meena and former Health Minister Raghu Sharma arrived in Sawai Madhopur. They participated in a meeting organized by the district Congress committee at the Marriage Garden in Alampur.
During the meeting, aspirants seeking Congress tickets for the assembly elections presented their applications. Nearly two dozen aspirants from Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bamanwas, and Khandar assembly constituencies submitted their applications to Minister Ramesh Meena and Raghu Sharma. Those seeking tickets rallied with their supporters in Congress programs and presented their candidacies.
The aspirants’ supporters were vocal and passionate, which made it difficult for Minister Ramesh Meena and Raghu Sharma to collect feedback or conduct assessments effectively.
