Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s son and Congress leader Nakul Nath stated on Friday that the party was organizing a ‘Kisan Nyay Yatra’ to protest against the injustices faced by farmers.

The Madhya Pradesh Congress held the ‘Kisan Nyay Yatra’ on tractors across the state to support farmers’ demands for an increase in the minimum support price (MSP) of soybean crops from Rs 4892 to Rs 6000 per quintal.

In Chhindwara district, Congress leaders also participated in the Kisan Nyay Yatra, with Nakul Nath joining the farmers in the protest.

Speaking to reporters, Nath said, “Today, seeing the problems of the farmers, the Congress party had to launch this Kisan Nyay Yatra. Farmers are currently facing the greatest struggles across the country, and we are conducting this yatra to fight for justice and their rights. This is a protest against the injustice being done to farmers.”

In a post on X, Nath added, “Today, I joined the Kisan Nyay Yatra with farmers who brought tractors from all over the district to raise their voices. Due to the anti-farmer policies of the central and state governments, farmers have been forced to protest.”

He further criticized the government, writing, “This ruthless government is indifferent to the pain and problems of farmers. Today, farmers do not receive a fair price for their crops, nor do they have access to adequate fertilizers, electricity, and resources. The backbone of India, farmers, are being crushed under debt, and there is no one to hear or understand their plight.”
