Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Member of Parliament from Ludhiana, strongly condemned the Aam Aadmi Party government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, for its desperate attempts to manipulate the recent Panchayat elections. Despite these efforts, Congress-backed Sarpanch have emerged victorious in 50-60% of villages across Punjab, marking a resounding victory for the Congress and a clear rejection of AAP’s misgovernance and false promises.
The PPCC Chief expressed his pride in the Congress party’s success, stating, “The people of Punjab have sent a powerful message. Despite AAP’s relentless manipulation and misuse of power to sway the Panchayat elections, Congress-backed candidates have won the confidence of the people in over half of the villages across the state. This victory is not just a reflection of our party’s hard work, but also of the people’s trust in our vision for Punjab.”
He emphasised that the election results are a strong rebuke of AAP’s failed governance in Punjab.
“For the past two and a half years, AAP has done nothing but deceive the people of Punjab with hollow promises and poor administration. Their attempt to influence these elections is just another example of their disrespect for democracy. But the people of Punjab have had enough and have overwhelmingly chosen Congress to lead their villages, making it clear that AAP’s days of manipulation are over.”
Warring praised the people of Punjab for standing firm against the AAP’s tactics, adding, “This victory shows that despite all the malpractices employed by the AAP government, they could not undermine the spirit of democracy in Punjab. The people have rejected their falsehoods and chosen the Congress party, which has always worked for their welfare. AAP tried their best to interfere, but they failed miserably.”
Over the last two and a half years, the Congress party has consistently raised its voice on behalf of the people, from standing with farmers during their protests to addressing the critical issues of youth unemployment, education, and healthcare.
“The results of the Panchayat elections, alongside our success in the Lok Sabha elections, are proof that the Congress party is the true representative of the people of Punjab. We have been working tirelessly on the ground, and the people have responded by placing their faith in us once again.”
Taking a direct swipe at the AAP government, Warring stated, “Bhagwant Mann and his party have proven they are unfit to govern. Their attempts to manipulate the Panchayat elections show their desperation and disregard for the democratic process. The people of Punjab, however, have shown them the door. The future of Punjab is with the Congress, and we will continue to work towards the progress and prosperity of every citizen in this state.”

In conclusion, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring reassured the people of Punjab that the Congress party will stand guard against any attempts to undermine democracy by the AAP government.
“We will not allow this government to play with the democratic rights of the people. Punjab deserves better, and with Congress, the people know they will get better. Our victory in these elections is just the beginning of a brighter tomorrow.”
