Commissioner Secretary Tourism, Yasha Mudgal, spearheaded the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Municipal Park, Bari Brahmana, Samba, today. The event kicked off with the Commissioner Secretary inspecting stalls set up by various departments, engaging with officers and locals to assess the showcased initiatives. An integral part of the yatra, the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van disseminated awareness about diverse government schemes, followed by the screening of Prime Minister’s visionary message for Viksit Bharat.
Commissioner Secretary administered the Sankalp pledge to all participants, who vowed to contribute diligently towards India’s development. In the ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ segment, beneficiaries shared success stories of benefits availed under schemes like PM KISAN, KCC, PMAY, PMJAY, with a special focus on Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and using the Daksh Kisan Portal.
School girls from government institutions presented captivating cultural performances on the theme ‘Dharti Kahe Pukaar ke’. Commissioner Secretary felicitated outstanding female sportspersons, quiz champions, and cultural performers. She also handed over Home stay registration certificates to eligible citizens and felicitated HADP beneficiaries.
Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Secretary emphasized that the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ aims to ensure the benefits of flagship schemes reach all eligible citizens, focusing on saturation. Through the IEC Van, the government aims to create awareness and provide services at citizens’ doorsteps, she added.
On National Girl Child Day, Commissioner Secretary highlighted the essence of empowering girls and providing equal opportunities for independent decision-making.
The event concluded with a strong note of empowerment and commitment towards a developed India.
