Tickets for Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert are being resold at exorbitant prices on platforms like Viagogo shortly after going live on BookMyShow. Sales opened at 12 pm today, but within minutes, tickets were listed on reselling platforms at prices five to six times higher than their original value.
A search on Viagogo reveals a South Premium section ticket priced at Rs. 2 lakh, with even the cheapest tickets starting at Rs. 25,000. This development has left many of the over 5 lakh fans stuck in the virtual BookMyShow queue concerned about missing out.

Fans worry this ticket sale is mirroring the chaotic experience during Coldplay’s Mumbai concerts. Previously, thousands of fans spent hours in virtual queues, only to find tickets sold out or available at inflated prices through scalpers.

In the aftermath of the Mumbai concert fiasco, where fans accused BookMyShow of mismanagement, Maharashtra cyber police directed the platform to implement stricter ticketing controls to prevent black-marketing. However, the Ahmedabad concert appears to be facing similar issues despite these measures.
The resale of tickets at such high prices has reignited frustration among fans, who had hoped for a smoother process this time.
