The chilly weather continues to tighten its grip on Rajasthan, as 23 cities in the state recorded temperatures below 10 degrees on Tuesday. With four cities experiencing temperatures below 5 degrees, residents are bracing for further cold days. The famous hill station of Mount Abu, despite a slight increase in temperature, remained at the freezing point, causing water to freeze on trees, plants, and other surfaces.
According to the Meteorological Department, Alwar, Churu, Baran, and Bhilwara witnessed night temperatures below 5 degrees. The minimum temperatures for various cities include Alwar at 2.5, Baran at 4.1, Churu at 4.2, and Bhilwara at 4.8 degrees. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 22.5 degrees, with the night temperature dropping to 5.4 degrees.
Meteorological Center Director Radheshyam Sharma predicted that the state would experience cold and foggy conditions for the next three days, with relief expected afterwards. Sharma mentioned that very dense fog, extremely cold days, and cold waves have been observed in specific regions. The weather is predicted to remain dry for the next week, with no significant temperature changes anticipated until late January.
