CNN Political Commentator and GOP adviser Alice Stewart died at the age of 58 on May 18 Saturday.

As per law enforcement, she was found dead outdoors in Bellevue neighbourhood of Northern Virginia. It is said that Alice suffered from medical emergency, however so far, no foul play is suspected.

Expressing his condolences, CNN CEO Mark Thompson said

“Alice was a very dear friend and colleague to all of us at CNN…A political veteran and an Emmy Award-winning journalist who brought an incomparable spark to CNN’s coverage, known across our bureaus not only for her political savvy, but for her unwavering kindness. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn such an extraordinary loss.”

However, it is still unknown, what illness stewart was battling with. Earlier, she frequently appeared on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer as a guest. Even before the day, she died.

As in her final Instagram post she said, “It’s always a sunny day when you can join the great @wolfblitzer on #CNN with @mariacardonadc!”

Who Was Alice Stewart Exactly? 

A native to Georgia, Alice Stewart has been a famous face of CNN ever since US 2016 election happened.

Her career started, when she began working as a local reporter and producer In Georgia. Then she worked as a news anchor in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Eventually, she entered the political realm. Going on to serve then Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as a communications director.

Going to work in a similar role in both 2008 and 2012 presidential election. In the latter, she worked as communications director for then president’s candidates like former Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.

Later, In 2016, she was in similar role for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
