Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Air India Express flight services connecting Ayodhya to Kolkata and Bengaluru through a video conference from his official residence in Lucknow. The ceremony marked a significant step in bolstering Ayodhya’s connectivity and positioning it as a prominent destination for tourists globally. CM Yogi expressed gratitude to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and General VK Singh for their focused efforts to enhance Uttar Pradesh’s connectivity.

Ayodhya, already a destination for local devotees, is witnessing increased excitement nationwide. Efforts have been directed to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims, and the collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation has played a commendable role. CM Yogi commended the success of inaugurating the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya on December 30, 2023, and expressed joy for the commencement of flight services to Kolkata and Bengaluru after establishing air connectivity with Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

Highlighting the symbolism of Ayodhya in India’s ancient faith and Lord Shri Ram’s embodiment of human pursuits, CM Yogi emphasized the eagerness and enthusiasm across the country for Lord Ram’s presence in Ayodhya. The transformative changes in Ayodhya, such as 4-lane connectivity, doubling of the railway line, cruise services in the sacred Sarayu River, and an international airport, have become a reality in the past six years under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the double-engine government’s efficiency.

CM Yogi announced that the Uttar Pradesh government has allocated 821 acres of land to the Ministry of Civil Aviation in Ayodhya, providing ground facilities for 500 pilgrims simultaneously and parking for 8 aircraft. He assured active support for the entire program outlined by the Civil Aviation Ministry.

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, present at the ceremony, lauded the developmental strides made under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Yogi. He acknowledged the significance of the recent achievements in Ayodhya’s connectivity, including connections with Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. He expressed optimism about further improvements in Uttar Pradesh’s air services, making Ayodhya easily accessible for devotees from across the country.
