In a move aimed at providing employment opportunities to the youth of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to hand over appointment letters to 219 newly appointed clerks of the School Education Department on Wednesday, according to an official statement.
Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, who disclosed this information on Tuesday, said that the recruitment process for the clerks had been completed by the Services Selection Board Punjab. He added that this was the first time that nearly 28,000 youths of the state had been given government jobs within one year of the formation of the government.
“The recruitment process is ongoing to strengthen the school education of the state and provide world-class education to children,” Bains said.
The appointment letter distribution ceremony is expected to be a milestone event for the newly appointed clerks, who have been eagerly awaiting their official appointment letters. The event will take place on Wednesday and will be presided over by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The Punjab government’s efforts to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the state have been widely appreciated.
