Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, stated on Sunday that despite the devastation caused by recent heavy rain and a landslide, unrelenting efforts are being made to rebuild essential roads and other essential amenities. According to the CM, temporary roads are being built quickly to speed up the transportation of agricultural and horticultural products and reduce financial losses for farmers. According to the State Emergency Operation Center on Sunday, as many as 281 roads, including National Highway 305, were blocked in Himachal Pradesh as a result of rain.

177 water supply schemes have also been hampered in addition to this. The government data also showed that there had been no fire incidents in the previous 24 hours. In Himachal Pradesh, constant rain has caused numerous landslides and cloudbursts. Since the start of the monsoon season, at least 367 people have perished in Himachal Pradesh as a result of rain-related incidents, the State Disaster Management Authority reported on Friday. According to CM Sukhu, temporary roads are being built quickly to speed up the transportation of agricultural and horticultural products and reduce financial losses for farmers.

CM Sukhu was speaking at a two-day event as a chief guest on Saturday late evening.
CM Sukhu expressed confidence in overcoming the state’s financial challenges with policy changes and new laws. “We are focusing on resource mobilization and with the cooperation of everyone, the state government aims to make Himachal Pradesh self-sufficient in the coming 4 years and the most prosperous state in ten years,” he said.
