Haryana CM Manohar Lal launched 153 new projects worth Rs 2 thousand crore in Hisar on Wednesday. Following the launch, the CM stated that 8.5% of people in Haryana are unemployed, refuting the opposition’s claim of 35%.
Over the past 9.5 years, we have provided employment to 30 lakh people. Recognizing the challenge of offering permanent jobs to everyone, we are also focusing on alternative employment avenues and providing youth with training for skill development. Changes in the recruitment system and the introduction of various portals aim to curb corruption. Highlighting the influx of foreign companies in Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar, Panipat, and Hisar, the CM attributed this growth to the presence of airports. With the Hisar airport now operational, industrialists are seeking land around it.
The CM emphasized efforts to map the sports department, identifying 307 locations lacking sports facilities within a 10 KM radius. Immediate arrangements are being made in these areas. Infrastructure development is not biased, and collaborative efforts are shaping the entire state. Over the past decade, 33 thousand kilometers of roads have been improved, 7 thousand kilometers of new roads built, and 20 NHs declared, with 8 completed and others in progress, attracting industrial investment.
The CM noted the commencement of new rail coach manufacturing in Sonipat, also catering to metro coaches. The state is constructing 26 medical colleges, a resolution made in 2015 to address the shortage of doctors, providing over 700 doctors.
The CM virtually launched 10 projects in Hisar, with the Union Minister, Haryana Ministers, MPs, and MLAs inaugurating the remaining projects in their respective districts.
