Speaking to journalists on Monday after inspecting the designated land for rehabilitation in village Khadak Mangoli, the Chief Minister was joined by Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta.

Manohar Lal emphasized that residents have been residing in unauthorized slums for years in Khadak Mangoli, Rajiv, and Indira Colony villages of Panchkula. To address this, 59.12 acres of land in village Khadak Mangoli has been earmarked by the Haryana Urban Development Authority for removing illegal encroachments and resettling residents.

He further instructed the Haryana Urban Development Authority to convene a meeting with various departments, including the Forest Department, Public Works Department, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, and Revenue Department, to develop a comprehensive plan for the identified land.

Manohar Lal and Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta also visited Dhanas and Maloya areas of Chandigarh to devise a plan for rehabilitating residents from the slums of Khadak Mangoli, Rajiv, and Indira Colony. Discussions with administration officials were held, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder consultations and exploring various models before finalizing the plan. The Chief Minister assured that the government would provide bank loans to beneficiaries if necessary.

Regarding unused land along the Ghaggar River, the Chief Minister directed the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to develop a plan ensuring coordinated development considering the safe flow of water in the river. Responding to farmer demands for Minimum Support Price (MSP), the Chief Minister emphasized resolving issues through mutual agreement.

He also highlighted that the upcoming budget session would prioritize Antyodaya (upliftment of the poorest) and public
interest.

In response to inquiries about the Lok Sabha elections, Manohar Lal expressed confidence in achieving BJP’s electoral targets and assured strong representation from Haryana. Present at the occasion were officials from various departments, including Haryana Urban Development Authority Chief Administrator TL Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sumer Pratap Singh, and other relevant officers.
