Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has started his tour of the state from Wednesday regarding ‘Rajasthan Mission 2030.’ The program aims to complete tours of about 20 districts in 9 days. Gehlot began his tour from Jaipur. In the Birla Auditorium, Gehlot held discussions with jewellers, gemstone dealers, astrologers, and craftsmen. Afterwards, Gehlot had a dialogue with gardeners and farmers in Chomu. The CM also took suggestions from everyone on Mission 2030.
In his address at the Birla Auditorium, Gehlot said, “Elections are approaching. When I say that the government can come back this time, people say the government is not coming back, but it’s on its way. This means that things are fine this time. I seek all of your blessings.” He said, “Vasundhara Raje’s government gave ERCP. We did not discontinue it. Jaipur and Ajmer used to yearn for water earlier. After the construction of the Bisalpur dam, these cities got relief. Vasundhara Raje’s government stopped the metro project from Ambabari to 22 godowns. I have pushed this project forward. The refinery project was stopped during the BJP’s time. During our tenure, dairy farmers received a subsidy of 2 rupees on milk. The BJP discontinued it. After we came, we started it again, and the result is that Rajasthan has become number one in milk production.”
Gehlot addressed the program of dialogue with farmers related to agriculture and horticulture under Rajasthan Mission-2030 at Chomu’s sports stadium, where he called upon farmers and livestock owners to take maximum advantage of the state government’s welfare schemes. He said that through the Rajasthan Agriculture Processing, Agriculture Business, and Agriculture Export Encouragement Scheme, farmers are now processing and marketing their products on their own. Gehlot said that the Kamdhenu Livestock Insurance Scheme, which provides insurance of up to 40,000 rupees per milch animal, is proving to be a boon.
The Chief Minister said that 51 agricultural colleges have been opened in the last 5 years where students are shaping their future in the field of agriculture. He said that the previous government gave around 500 crore rupees for cows in 5 years. Meanwhile, the present government has provided funding of about 3 thousand crore rupees so far.
