Bengaluru, April.05:
Accusing the neighboring Maharashtra state of creating confusion in the border areas of Karnataka and Maharastra even as the case related to the border dispute pending in the Supreme Court, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai warned of providing insurance coverage for the Kannadigas living in Maharashtra if the Maha Government continue with its autocratic behavior.
Slamming the Maharashtra Government for the health insurance coverage of the people living on the Karnataka side, the CM, in a series of tweets has lambasted the Maharashtra Government for its act and termed it as the height of a dictatorial attitude and efforts to disturb the peaceful relationship among two states.

Bommai said in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde, and his Deputy, Devendra Fadnavis had promised that they would not create any confusion on the issue of inter-state border row. Now, the coverage of the Jyothirao Pule health insurance scheme for the people residing in 865 villages on the Karnataka side was a threat to the federal system. The Maharashtra Government must immediately revoke its orders and respect the commitment given to Amit Shah to help in maintaining a healthy relationship between the two states.
The CM said it was highly condemnable that in the name of insurance coverage for the people living on the Karnataka side, it was collecting letters from those people that they belonged to the Maharashtra State.
