The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavraj Bommai on Sunday took a dig at the Congress party and said that there is no need of talking about ‘fake Gandhis’ on Gandhi Jayanti.
Recently Rahul Gandhi accused the Karnataka Govt of being the most corrupt govt, replying to which Bommai made this statement. “Today is Gandhi Jayanti, why should I talk about fake Gandhis? The whole Congress party is out on bail- Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and DK Shivakumar are out on bail,” the CM said while reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s accusation that the Karnataka government is the most corrupt. He further continued that Congress used Karnataka as an ATM, but thankfully it is gone now.

Taking a dig at CM’s statement, Congress Karnataka Chief said D K Shivkumar asked Bommai to send him to jail and said that he will rest in jail.
“Yes, I am on bail. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are also on bail. They (BJP) have dozens who are on bail. Yediyurappa has no case against him? Bommai registered cases against me. Let him send me to Parappana Agrahara (Central Jail), I will take some rest,” Shivkumar said.
This occurred the day after disputes between the two leaders over the “PayCM” t-shirt broke out.

Using the excuse that several party members had been arrested for donning the same shirt during the “Bharat Jodo Yatra,” DK Shivakumar dared the state government to take action against him and former CM Siddaramaiah for wearing the “PayCM” t-shirt.
“Wearing “PayCM” t-shirts, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, myself, and other leaders will take part in the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Let’s wait and watch what the BJP does “According to reports in Nanjangud, Shivakumar.

He said that lawsuits had been brought against certain Congress employees for participating in the Gundlupet march while sporting t-shirts bearing the slogan “Pay-CM.”
