Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed the government’s strong commitment to the rapid and dedicated advancement of women’s self-reliance. Commending Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he highlighted the initiation of crucial schemes like the Lakhpati Didi scheme, set to benefit 11.24 lakh women in Rajasthan.
Addressing a gathering at the annual festival of Veer Teja Women’s Education and Research Institute, Chief Minister Sharma emphasized the government’s dedication to the all-round development of women and students. Policies and programs are being crafted with a focus on women’s empowerment.
To enhance women’s economic self-reliance, the government aims to establish 2 lakh new women self-help groups and provide loans up to 1 lakh rupees through the Women Empowerment Credit Card scheme for 28 lakh women. Additionally, the government is committed to ensuring 30% reservation for students in co-educational colleges, polytechnics, and engineering colleges. Chief Minister Sharma announced that, as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee, cylinders will be provided to women at the cost of 450 rupees.
In a significant move for farmer welfare, the state government, in the first budget of 2024-25, has increased the annual financial assistance under Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from 6 thousand to 8 thousand rupees.
Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar commended the institute for its unprecedented work in providing educational, vocational, and employment-oriented education. The department pledged full support to start the medical education program in the institute.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal also visited the birthplace of the deity Veer Tejaji in Kharnal, Nagaur, where prayed for the prosperity and happiness of the state.
