To combat the raging wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has organised a special vaccination drive camp for administering Covid- 19 vaccine’s booster dose for all its personnel posted with the Delhi Metro.

The special vaccination camp set up at the Shashtri Park campus of the CISF’s DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) unit was inaugurated on Monday. In this special drive, the CISF has been able to administer booster doses to more than 2500 personnel of the CSIF who are posted with the Delhi Metro. The CISF aims to administer the booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to all its personnel posted with the DMRC by 20 January this year.

The camp has been equipped with two vaccination centres which are being run by a team of doctors from East Delhi District along with Civil Defence volunteers.

The CISF constitutes as one of the frontline warriors who are equipped with the task of securing important establishments across the country. The CISF has been efficiently dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic, particularly at Delhi Metro and Airports as front liners despite the highest vulnerability they face due to exposure and contacts with the thousands of passengers every day.

More than 12,000 CISF personnel are deployed in the DMRC unit of CISF to ensure the safety of passengers and property of Delhi Metro that connects Delhi to neighbouring districts of UP and Haryana and provide mass rapid transit to more than 35 lakh passengers in Delhi.

To help facilitate the smooth and hassle-free vaccination of the children (aged between 15 and 18) of CISF personnel who have become eligible for the dose just recently, the CISF has also set up an additional counter for vaccination for all those eligible children at the Shastri Park camp.

The CISF has so far vaccinated 9000 of its personnel across the country with the booster dose for enhanced protection against Covid-19 infection for all its personnel.

“The booster dose vaccination drive is running across all the 353 CISF Units including 64 Airports. Our Booster Dose vaccination drive will ensure that 100% of our eligible personnel are inoculated at the earliest.” CISF spokesperson said.
