Sunak to provide the alternative accomodation to illegal migrants crossing English Channel

Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, made the claim on Monday that his strategy to “stop the boats” of illegal migrants arriving at British shores is working when he announced plans to house them on ships to alleviate pressure on hotels funded by taxpayers.

In an interview at the bordertown of Dover in Kent, Sunak said the primarily such boat will be prepared later this month and two others to oblige a further 1,000 transients.He mentioned that important legislation known as the “Stop the Boats Bill” or “Illegal Migration Bill” has passed the House of Commons and will enable his government to detain and deport migrants who enter the country illegally.

Sunak stated, “I promised we would get illegal immigrants out of hotels and into alternative locations, including military facilities.” We will also house people on ships to ease the burden on local communities. The principal will show up in Portland in the following fortnight. Additionally, we have secured two more today that can hold an additional 1,000 people, he stated.

Wethersfield and Scampton will also get large new sites. Hundreds of migrants are expected to move in over the next few months, and there will be room for about 3,000 people by the end of the year. Sunak said that other than adding elective convenience choices, not entirely settled to utilize inns.
