Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar recently provided an update on election preparations in Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana, showcasing the high levels of public enthusiasm in these regions. During his visit, Kumar observed a strong desire among the residents to participate in the electoral process, with many expressing eagerness for elections to be held as soon as possible.

Kumar highlighted the remarkable turnout in Jammu & Kashmir during the Lok Sabha elections, noting the long queues at polling booths as a clear indication of the people’s demand for change. He remarked, “The long queues at the polling booths in J&K are proof that people not only want change but also wish to raise their voices by being part of that change.”

He praised the residents for their commitment to democratic values, stating, “This glimpse of hope and democracy shows that the people want to change the picture. They want to write their own destiny. The people of Jammu and Kashmir chose ballot over bullet in the Lok Sabha elections.”
