In Chennai, a 23-year-old man was detained for stealing a bike because he preferred not to take the bus every day. The man was also charged with murder, and he was required to sign in daily at a city police station.

The accused, Parthasarathy, is a native of Nerkundram in Chennai. On August 14, he had taken a bicycle from Spencer Plaza. Dinesh, a business owner at Spencer Plaza who is 40 years old, said that his bike vanished from the parking lot.

Parthasarathy, 23, of Nerkundram, was apprehended by Thousand Lights Police, who were investigating the crime.When questioned about why he stole the motorcycle, Parthasarathy responded that he didn’t want to take the bus every day.

Parthasarathy was charged with murder and was ordered to check in daily at the Anna Salai police station.

Parthasarathy had to go from Nerkundram to Anna Salai every day, which took him many hours. So he made the decision to take the other route and stole the bike. Based on the CCTV footage, police officers captured him.
