After coming out with a clean clean chit from the allegations of Raghav Chadha on illegal mining in Chamkaur Sahib Assembly constituency, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi called AAP Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal as plunderer who has come here in Punjab to befool people of Punjab. CM Channi said that Arvind Kejriwal is in habit of first making false allegations and then saying sorry if caught legally.

Aam Aadmi Party state co-incharge Raghav Chadha had filed his complaint to Governor Banwari Lal Purohit on 24 January and had submitted a memorandum to him, demanding an inquiry into CM Channi’s alleged role in Illegal mining in Jindapur Village near Chamkaur Sahib. Later Governor has asked DGP to submit a report on the same in which a report gave clean chit to Channi.

In a recent report submitted to the ADGP-cum-Enforcement Director, Mining, Ropar Deputy Commissioner Sonali Giri, it is said that neither illegal mining was found at the alleged place Jindapur village nor any complaint was found related to the relative of CM Charanjit Singh Channi’s in the records of the administration.

The investigation report conducted by the Punjab Government has become public. This report has been examined based on four different aspects. In the investigation regarding the role of the relative of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, the inquiry said that there is no complaint regarding the role of the relative of Channi in this case.

It is mentioned that while investigating the allegation of illegal mining on the forest department’s land, it was said that de-silting work was going on in village Jindapur with the approval of the mining department, with which the forest department’s land adjoins. At the same time, based on the complaint, the police have also registered a case. Further, in the investigation of the tippers carrying the material of de-silting, the Mining Department has made it clear that complete checking has been done. Slip monitoring has also been done. The record has the movement data of 450 tippers, which are included in the list.

In this episode, investigation of the transfer case of Forest Guard Rajvansh Singh found that the employee was transferred only on the request of the employee as he is a patient of diabetes. It has nothing to do with mining. The employee’s replacement on him had already taken place before this case.

On the other hand, in this matter, Arvind Kejriwal said that if the Aam Aadmi Party comes to power, then he will get the real investigation done. Taking a jibe at Channi’s clean chit, Kejriwal said that it is a miracle of Charanjit Channi that he got the area officials investigated and got a clean chit in the area where there is an allegation of illegal mining.
