He says that this experiment has not been successful. Therefore, the administration has now withdrawn the decision to install such towers in Chandigarh again. Importance is being given to CNG and electric vehicles
Chandigarh Pollution Control Board Director T S Nautiyal said that pollution is constantly increasing in the city. The main reason for this is the increasing number of vehicles in the city. The administration has decided to give importance to CNG and electric vehicles so that pollution in the city can be controlled. He said that the Chandigarh administration is constantly bringing such schemes regarding this matter so that the pollution of the city can be reduced.
Charging stations are being increased for electric vehicles
Nautiyal said that to promote electric vehicles in Chandigarh, the administration is continuously increasing the number of electric charging stations in Chandigarh. He said that the construction of charging stations is going on in different parts of Chandigarh. In the coming time, people will get charging stations in sufficient numbers to charge the batteries of their vehicles in Chandigarh. He said that apart from this, people also have the option of CNG vehicles.
Diesel autos are completely closed in Chandigarh
Nautiyal said that diesel autos have been banned in Chandigarh. He said that not even a single diesel auto has been registered in Chandigarh for a long time. These steps have been taken by the administration to control pollution. He said that the administration is very serious about such matters.
