Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios clinched the Miss Universe 2023 title, marking a historic win for her country in the pageant. Shweta Sharda, who emerged from Chandigarh, earned her place in the semi-finals, adding to India’s representation in the prestigious competition. “Winning the Miss Diva India pageant brought an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and excitement. This moment has been a long-time dream, and witnessing it materialize is indescribable. I’m deeply thankful and eager for the path ahead, aiming to bring the Miss Universe Crown home and make my nation and family proud,” Sharda expressed to the media following her Miss Diva Universe 2023 victory.
The 72nd Miss Universe pageant unfolded in El Salvador, drawing contestants from over 90 nations vying for the coveted crown.Originally from Chandigarh, Shweta, now 22, ventured to Mumbai at 16, driven by her aspirations. Her journey includes appearances in prominent dance shows like ‘Dance India Dance 6,’ ‘Dance Deewane,’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja.’
