Chandigarh Congress observed a devoted worship ceremony in honour of Lord Ram at Congress Bhawan Sector 35 on the occasion of the idol consecration in Ayodhya. The entire Congress Bhavan was adorned with illuminating lamps, creating a festive atmosphere, and Prasad was generously distributed to all attendees.

During the event, Congress leaders collectively emphasized that Mahatma Gandhi, their paramount leader and the Father of the Nation was an ardent devotee of Lord Ram. They highlighted Gandhi’s dream of establishing “Ram Rajya” in the country. Additionally, Congress leaders united in praising the religious guidance provided by the four revered Shankaracharyas, supreme spiritual leaders in Hinduism, who consistently advocated for promoting humanity and communal harmony in the nation.

Former mayor Surinder Singh, along with Achhe Lal Gaur, Rajeev Moudgil, Vikram Chopra, Victor Sidhu, Sonia Jaiswal, Vipandeep Singh Amanmani, Rajdeep Sidhu, and others, actively participated in the program. The gathering of Congress workers also included Surjit Singh Dhillon, Dharamveer, Manoj Lubana, Megha Kalyan, Sanjeev Gaba, Gurcharan Singh, Abhay Chandel, Subhash Pal, Paramveer Rana, Gopal Attri, Manish Lamba, Devraj, Sunil Sood, Kishore Kumar, Satbir Singh Sangwan, Nitin Kanwal Navi, Fateh Singh, and many more.

The event aimed to express reverence for Lord Ram and Mahatma Gandhi while promoting the principles of humanity and communal harmony as advocated by revered spiritual leaders.
