The event, under the flagship of Principal Dr. Sangam Kapoor, aimed to raise awareness and encourage young voters for the upcoming General Elections in 2024.
The first activity, titled ‘Gyan Pradhan,’ tested the mental retention ability of NSS Volunteers through a quiz in which 40 students participated. The winners were Ms. Divyanshi, Ms. Jyotika, and Ms. Payal. The quiz involved 45 NSS Volunteers.
The second activity was a pledge and signature campaign to motivate school and college Volunteers to “Vote for the position of Prime Minister” and select a democratic government.
The third activity included a rally in the residential area, marketplaces, and outside the Police station in Dhanas, where 60 Volunteers raised loud slogans such as “Vote for India” and “Chode saare kam aur pehle karo matdan.” During the rally, Ms. Ritika Verma, Unit Coordinator, and Dr. Renuka Mehra, Nodal Officer, ELC, interacted with residents, urging them to vote with all family members above 18 years of age.
