The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of six senior advocates as Additional Solicitor Generals (ASGs) for the Supreme Court of India.
The newly appointed ASGs are S. Dwarakanath, Archana Pathak Dave, Satya Darshi Sanjay, Brijender Chahar, Raghavendra P. Shankar, and Rajkumar Bhaskar Thakare (Raja Thakare). They will serve in their roles for a term of three years, beginning from the date they assume office.
These senior advocates bring a wealth of experience and are involved in several high-profile cases in the Supreme Court. Their expertise covers a broad spectrum of legal areas, including constitutional law, commercial law, and corporate law.
The appointments are part of the Union Government’s efforts to bolster its legal representation in the Supreme Court.
