Janata Dal-United (JD(U)) National President Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh took a swipe at the BJP-led Central government, highlighting the development efforts of the Bihar government in comparison. He expressed that the Bihar government’s initiatives, particularly related to the census, are aimed at promoting development with justice.
Singh stated, “The Bihar government is working for development, taking into consideration justice, while the central government is not doing any development.” He criticized the BJP’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ slogan, suggesting that it remains unfulfilled, and predicted that the people of Bihar would reject such claims.
The JDU leader praised the grand alliance government in Bihar for its efforts to implement development with justice, contrasting this with the alleged lack of development by those in Delhi who claim to work for the welfare of all.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had called for special status for Bihar and appealed to the Centre to conduct a caste-based census across the country. He argued that a caste-based census was necessary to formulate inclusive policies and address the needs of the state, which he described as economically challenged.
In summary, Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh, the JDU National President, emphasized that the Bihar government is focused on development with justice, contrasting this with his perception of the central government’s performance and highlighting the need for a caste-based census in the country.
