The Central Government, on the first day of the new year, declared gangster Goldy Barar, the alleged mastermind behind Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). In relation to this, a first statement from the late singer’s father, Balkaur Singh, has surfaced
Speaking on this matter, Balkaur Singh stated that it’s a good decision but appealed to the government to arrange for Goldy Barar’s return to India. He mentioned that earlier, a red corner notice was issued against him, and now he has been declared a terrorist. Just providing a certificate won’t resolve the case. He is the main accused in the Moosewala murder case, and if his return to India happens, the case might progress. Hence, he appeals to the government to make arrangements for his return to India.
It’s worth noting that as per the notice issued by the Home Ministry, Goldy Barar is associated with the banned Khalistani organization Babbar Khalsa International.
Barar receives support from terrorist agencies across the border. He is involved in several murder cases. Barar was involved in threatening nationalist leaders, demanding ransom, and posting claims of murder on social media platforms. In this regard, a red corner notice has also been issued.
