The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conclude registration for Class 10th and 12th compartment exams today. Candidates who have not yet applied can visit the official website at cbse.gov.in to complete their applications.
Registration for the compartment exams for both Classes 10 and 12 commenced on May 31. The CBSE has initiated these examinations to provide an opportunity for students who did not pass the recent exams.
It’s worth noting that the supplementary examination will follow the syllabus prescribed for the board examination, which can be found on the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in. The date for the release of admit cards will be communicated separately.
It should be noted that earlier, CBSE issued a notice stating that students are required to pay a fee of ₹300 per subject when submitting their applications. For private candidates in Nepal, the fee is ₹1000 per subject, and for candidates outside India (excluding Nepal), the fee is ₹2000 per subject. If any candidate misses today’s deadline, they can still submit their applications on June 16 and 17, but the application fee will be increased to ₹2000, as mentioned in the notice.
The CBSE allows students who have failed in one or two subjects to apply for compartment examinations for Class 10, and for Class 12, students who failed in only one subject are eligible to apply.
The CBSE Class 10 Supplementary exams are scheduled for six days: July 15, July 16, July 18, July 19, July 20, and July 22. Most exams will be held for three hours, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. However, the Computer Applications and Information Technology papers will be conducted for two hours, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on the last day of the examination.
