The CBI’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) will conduct a psychological autopsy of Sushant Singh Rajput, a new development in the case. This is the third well-known case in the country in which the CBI CFSL team will do a psychiatric autopsy, a postmortem of the mind. Earlier, in the Sunanda Pushkar case and 11 suicides in Burari, Delhi Police had conducted their psychological autopsy.
The CBI’s forensic team will study his notes, books, WhatsApp chats and all the social media posts. Information about Sushant’s mood behaviour will be obtained from his family friends, close friends, employees and those living with him. Some people were there with the actor prior to the day of his death. Sushant’s behaviour, lifestyle and routine in the days leading up to his death will also be studied.
Sushant allegedly committed suicide on 14 June at his Bandra flat. Initially, Mumbai Police, ED and Bihar police did the investigation and the case was later taken over by the CBI.
