CM Mann stated that the cancelled ration cards would be reinstated, meaning 10,77,000 ration cards would be reissued. This decision ensures that ration will reach all households. The Punjab government is set to initiate door-to-door ration delivery.

During the announcement, Chief Minister Mann addressed the issue of teacher transfers. He mentioned that the process of teacher transfers has been made more convenient. If a needy teacher wants to transfer within their area, they can apply on the portal, and a transfer to a nearby school will be facilitated. For those teachers who wish to come closer to their district or home, a straightforward process has been put in place.
Additionally, Chief Minister Mann emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing daily accidents, stating that Punjab will be the first state to deploy a Road Safety Force. The force will have modern vehicles equipped with gas cutters and first aid supplies. The Chief Minister also shared plans for the Angel Scheme, where accident victims reaching hospitals will receive cash rewards and free medical treatment.
In another significant announcement, Chief Minister Mann mentioned that after January 26, all government hospitals in Punjab, including sub-divisional and district hospitals, will provide medicines. Doctors will no longer prescribe medicines from outside, and if a required medicine is not available in the hospital, the doctor will arrange for it. Patients will no longer have to wander for medicines. Ultrasound and X-ray machines will also be available in hospitals.
