Social media platform Twitter’s head of engineering, Foad Dabiri, resigned from his post a day after Twitter’s technical difficulties hampered Ron DeSantis’s Presidential run launch.
As of now, it is unclear whether he was asked to leave by his boss, Elon Musk, who has received harsh criticism and embarrassment as a result of the technological issues.
Dabiri took to Twitter and penned that “After almost 4 great years at Twitter, I chose to leave the nest yesterday. The combination of the fantastic community, the impact it has, and its limitless potential sets Twitter apart. So, here is my pseudo-obligatory gratitude thread: #LoveWhereYouWorked”
Although the head announced this big news himself, however he didn’t reveal any specifics or justifications. Twitter stands out because of its wonderful community, the influence it has, and its endless future.
In a series of discrete tweets, he referred to his tenure at Twitter as post and pre-acquisition, claiming that the Musk era had its “fair share of challenges,” but they also shared a big objective and a team of extraordinary individuals. Above all, it was the individuals that made Twitter genuinely remarkable.’
He also conceded that Musk as a boss had made work ‘difficult,’ with a lot of ‘outside noise,’ but he put a positive spin on it, saying he had learnt a lot from the experience.
According to Bloomberg, David Sacks, who moderated a discussion between Elon Musk and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Twitter will “keep experimenting” with its audio platform Spaces to give political candidates a chance to connect with an audience, despite technical glitches in a high-profile event.
