The 21st instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to be out in the first week of November 2025, providing much-needed financial assistance to crores of farmers across India.
PM Kisan 21st Instalment: Date and Status
From reports by the Ministry of Agriculture and top media sources, the 21st instalment of the PM Kisan scheme will probably be credited in early November 2025, shortly after Diwali. While no announcement date has been made so far, the payment may overlap with the Bihar Assembly elections, to be held on November 6 and 11. Since the Centre can only disburse payments for current schemes, not launch new ones, under the current Model Code of Conduct, the timing of releases is being watched carefully.
Farmers in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir already received advance payments as part of flood and landslide relief efforts. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan personally made the advance transfer, transferring ₹2,000 each to distressed farmers’ bank accounts.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: What is the Scheme?
Launched in February 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) gives annual income support of ₹6,000 to marginal and small farmers, payable in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The program benefits more than 10 crore farmers across the country, enabling them to fund farming and household expenses.
The 20th instalment, which was disbursed in August 2025, helped more than 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women beneficiaries, with a release of over ₹20,500 crore.
