Maruti Suzuki India will increase the prices of its vehicles from April 2025, attributing it to higher input costs and operational costs. The company said the price increase would be up to 4% based on the model. This is after it had already increased prices in December 2024 by 4%, which was effected in January 2025.

In February, some models experienced price hikes between Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 32,500. The increasing global commodity prices, high import duties on raw materials, and supply chain disruptions are all the reasons behind these hikes. Maruti Suzuki admitted in its filing that although cost optimization efforts are ongoing, some of the added costs will be transferred to the customers.

Maruti Suzuki currently has a variety of models, ranging from the base Alto K10 to the luxury Invicto. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Maruti Suzuki shares were at Rs. 11,549.55 as of 10:45 am IST, showing a 0.36% rise of Rs. 40.90.

“Even though the Company is constantly working to bring down costs and reduce the burden on its customers, some amount of the increased cost would have to be passed on to the market,” Maruti Suzuki said in its exchange filing.
