Infosys Loses Key Executive: Hemant Lamba Resigns

Infosys, the Bengaluru-based IT giant, has announced the departure of Hemant Lamba, its Executive Vice President and Global Head of Strategic Sales. Lamba, a UK-based executive, had been with organization for over seven years before resigning recently.

According to a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Lamba tendered his resignation, citing personal reasons. In his resignation letter to Infosys CEO Salil Parekh, Lamba conveyed appreciation for the opportunities and valuable experiences he had during his time with the company.

“This is to inform you that Hemant Lamba, Senior Management Personnel, has resigned from the services of the company,” stated Infosys in its BSE filing, confirming Lamba’s departure from the executive leadership team.

Lamba first joined Infosys in 2009 and returned in December 2016 to lead Strategic Sales globally across various verticals. His role encompassed overseeing large deals and strategic initiatives, reporting directly to the CEO.

The resignation marks a significant change in company senior leadership, prompting attention within the industry regarding future strategic directions in sales and client engagement under new leadership.
