Airtel customers across India are facing a widespread service disruption, with many reporting issues with both mobile and broadband connectivity. On Thursday (December 26), users took to social media to highlight problems, particularly mobile internet disruptions, which made up 39% of complaints. Another 39% reported a complete loss of Airtel services, while 22% experienced no signal at all. The outage primarily affected users in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Businesses relying on Airtel’s broadband services were also impacted, with employees working from home struggling to join virtual meetings or access cloud-based resources. Streaming services and online lessons were interrupted for households, causing further inconvenience.
Customers voiced frustration on social media, citing issues like dropped calls, no internet access, and total service blackouts. While the disruption affected daily routines, Airtel has yet to issue an official statement on the cause.
